Evaluations
Our evaluation process allows us to get to the root of the problems your child is experiencing and will also aid in making a differential diagnosis. We assess language and literacy skills using standardized testing as well as informal measures to understand your child's comprehension, verbal expression, reading, writing, and spelling strengths and challenges. Following the evaluation, we take a collaborative approach to developing a therapy plan along with meaningful and personalized goals.
Language
Therapy for receptive and expressive language addresses challenges related to comprehension, verbal and written communicaiton, vocabulary development, and grammar. Our goal is to help each child begin to make sense of abstract concepts.

We take a client-centered approach to provide language therapy. By following the child's interests and addressing therapy within "real life" situations, children are better able to generalize their newly acquired skills to social and academic environments.

We also provide practice and parent coaching to support language at home.
Literacy
Literacy intervention helps clients make sense of English as a written language, improve both their reading fluency and comprehension, as well as their ability to spell and write.

We use Structured Word Inquiry in our approach to providing literacy therapy. Structured Word Inquiry guides readers through the investigation of words – their parts, structure, origin, and history – to understand the word's meaning, how words are connected, and how they are spelled.

We also provide homework as appropriate, guiding parents through simple homework tasks for that extra practice!
